Introduction to running coaching meetings

This coaching session introduces a ready-prepared coaching meeting structure that will ensure that your client gets maximum benefit from their time with you and that you have confidence in your coaching technique.

The session covers preparing for, carrying out and following up on coaching meetings, with special attention paid to your first coaching meeting with a new client.

Run by an experienced business coach the session will familiarise you with the kind of questions and challenges you are likely to come across as a business coach. It answers question like:

  • What do I need to do to prepare for my first coaching meeting?
  • How do I start the meeting? How do I finish it?
  • What happens if I'm asked something I don't know?
  • How do I help the client identify problems?
  • How do I maintain momentum?

We'll practice a set of proven, generic coaching questions that can be used in every coaching meeting you ever run as well as talking about some tools you can use to help your client think differently about their business.

You'll create your own standard meeting agenda that means you can confidently run meetings and your clients will quickly gain trust in you as their coach.

If you want to succeed as a business coach, this hour of preparation will make sure you hit the ground running and avoid the cost and delay of learning through trial and error. It will pay for itself in longer client engagements and continue to benefit you for years.
